Helen Wilson
Helen is a Bristol-based dance artist who choreographs, performs, collaborates and runs projects. She is the Director of RISE Youth Dance (2008 – present), responsible for the company’s overall artistic imprint alongside its management. Her training within a professional setting underpins her approach to working with RISE, and to talent development. Helen has extensive experience in working with young people in various settings, educational and other. Trained in carnival styles as well as contemporary dance, she is a regular contributor to St-Paul’s Carnival. Her interests also include mass movement and she contributed to the choreography, direction and delivery of mass movement events for the Rugby League World Cup 2013, Big dance 2014/2016, Rugby Union World Cup 2015, as well as other local events involving big groups of dancers.
